Irakli Kobakhidze

Irakli Kobakhidze

Prime Minister of Georgia

It is my great honor to welcome all of you to the 5th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, taking place in October 2025 under the theme “Invest in Connectivity – Grow in Stability.” This prestigious gathering will bring together over 2,000 participants from more than 60 countries, including  heads of governments, business and industry leaders, as well as senior representatives from International Organizations and Financial Institutions.

This year’s Forum takes place at a time when economic cooperation and global connectivity are more vital than ever. The historic Silk Road played a crucial role in shaping trade and cultural exchange across continents, and today, the Middle Corridor stands as a multi-faceted, modern embodiment of these historic links—bridging Europe and Asia with efficient and reliable connectivity.

Georgia, with its unique geographic positioning, has always been a critical gateway between East and West. Today, as global trade patterns shift, our country is reinforcing its role as a multidimensional hub, offering key trade routes that enhance regional cooperation and economic resilience. The Government of Georgia remains committed to fostering trade, advancing seamless transport and logistics solutions, strengthening digital connectivity, and developing strategic infrastructure—all key factors in ensuring the long-term local and regional economic success.

The 5th edition of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum will serve as an essential platform for meaningful discussions on trade, transport, energy, investment, digital transformation, people-to-people exchanges, and sustainable economic growth. It will highlight Georgia’s strategic potential and facilitate collaboration among key stakeholders.

For the first time, in the framework of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, Georgia will host a major Fintech Summit of global reach in collaboration with Singapore-based organization - Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN), highlighting Georgia’s rapidly increasing role as a fintech hub in the region.

I trust that the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum will offer valuable insights and opportunities for all participants, inspiring new collaborations and driving forward a vision for a more interconnected and growth-enabling future. I warmly welcome you to Georgia and look forward to the engaging discussions that will shape the future of global economic cooperation.
