Rashad Nabiyev obtained a master’s degree in economics from East Carolina University, USA.
Mr. Nabiyev started his career at the Information Resources and Technology Center and the Foreign Relations Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He later moved to the Market Operations Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which was followed by the role of head of the Finance, Accounting and Economic Analysis Department of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.
In 2011, he was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos OJSC.
On 26 January 2021, he was appointed as Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Nabiyev is fluent in Russian and English.
