Patrick Avato is IFC’s Regional Upstream Lead for Infrastructure in Europe and the Caucasus. He oversees IFC’s pre-investment and advisory business aimed at developing a pipeline of bankable transactions in energy, transport, utilities and telecoms across the region.

Mr. Avato has more than 15 years of experience in the infrastructure sector across Europe, Central Asia, Africa and South Asia. He has an MBA from the University of Tuebingen, Germany, and an MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
