Luis Francisco de Lope Alonso is a Mining Engineer who holds a PhD from both the Madrid and Paris School of Mines and a degree in Business Sciences.   
 
Following his employment in France, where he developed mathematical models for hydrogeology and hydrology for French Institutions, he worked briefly as a Utilities Consultant at Accenture. 
 
Since 1993, he has made significant contributions to Aqualia, taking on various positions of responsibility in the Spanish Municipal Water market. Later, in 2003, he initiated the acquisition of several companies that merged to form Aqualia Industrial, becoming the standard bearer in the Spanish industrial water services market. In 2006, he headed the Worldwide Concessions Department at Aqualia. He also led the company's expansion into new countries (MENA, LATAM and Europe) and new activities (BOT and EPC). Since July 2013, he holds the position of Managing Director at Aqualia International Business and is chairing the Aqualia's leading companies worldwide, such as SmVAK in the Czech Republic and GGU in Georgia.
