NEWS / 5G Internet Coverage within EaP in 2020

Lawrence Meredith, the director of the EU Eastern Partnership countries talked about the increase in consumption of mobile communication and development of 5G Internet at the Digital Communication Panel of the Tbilisi Belt & Road Forum: "The unified digital market is one of the top ten priorities of the European Commission. In fact it goes this way: we have 500 million users and our goal is to invest 700 million EUR for the development of 5G Internet in 2020. The use of mobile communication will reach a stratospheric rise while the amount of smart-phones will be increased 100 times in respect to the 100 time increase of the data exchange efficiency compared to 4G Internet connection,"- Lawrence Meredith stated.
