Gabriel Schulze

Founder and CEO Schulze Global Investments

Mr. Schulze is Founder and CEO of Schulze Global Investments, an American private equity firm focused on frontier markets. Under Mr. Schulze’s leadership, Schulze Global has achieved an unparalleled track record of success, making pioneering investments in such countries as Georgia, Ethiopia, Mongolia, and North Korea. The firm operates a variety of funds, managing capital on behalf of distinguished investors from the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Schulze Global focuses on frontier markets that are undervalued because the global investment community either overestimates the risks related to the market, or underappreciates the market’s potential. Schulze Global capitalizes on such “perception arbitrage” opportunities to generate high rates of financial return while at the same time making a valuable contribution to human and economic development.

Mr. Schulze’s pioneering leadership continues the legacy of his family’s original entrepreneur, William Boyce Thompson, who founded Newmont Mining, one of the largest gold mining companies in the world.

Mr. Schulze also serves on a number of business, governmental, and NGO boards. He has been featured prominently in publications such as Forbes, The Financial Times, and The Economist.

An American citizen, Mr. Schulze holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from The Wayne Calloway School of Business & Accountancy at Wake Forest University. He resides with his wife and children in Singapore.
