Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic

Jan Mládek is the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. Prior to this capacity, he served as the Minister of Agriculture, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy, and the First Deputy Minister of Finance.

He also held position as the Director of the Czech Institute of Applied Economics Ltd. He served as the Chairman of the Presidium of the Land Fund of the Czech Republic, the Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, the Vice-Governor of the International Monetary Fund for the Czech Republic, Washington, D.C., was a Member of Parliament of the Czech Republic.

Jan Mládek holds Ing. Degree in Economics from University of Economics in Prague, he studied Mathematics at the Charles University in Prague, and he was awarded CSc. Degree in Economics from Prognostic Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences.
