Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province of People's Republic of China

Wang Lixia, Mongol Nationality, was born in Jianping of Liaoning Province in June 1964. She began work in September 1985 and joined CPC in December 192. She holds an on-the-job post-graduate degree and a Doctor’s Degree in Economics and is a professor. From September 1981 to September 1985, she was majored in Planning and Statistics at Economy Department of Liaoning University and got her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics; from September 1985 to July 1988, she was majored in Statistics at Statistics Department of Shaanxi College of Finance and Economics and got her Master’s Degree in Economics; from July 1988 to July 2000, she worked as lecturer and associate professor at Department of Economic Statistics at Xi’an College of Statistics (during the period, from September 1997 to July 2000, she was majored in Statistics at Department of Planning and Statistics at College of Economics of Xiamen University and got her Doctor’s Degree in Economics); from July 2000 to December 2005, she worked as deputy director and CPC Committee member of Shaanxi Bureau of Statistics (during the period, from October 2001 to January 2002, she studied at training class for youth and middle-aged leaders at Shaanxi CPC Committee Party School; from July 2003 to September 2003, she studied at public management training class at Tsinghua University and Harvard University); from December 2005 to January 2011, she worked as director and CPC Committer secretary of Shaanxi Bureau of Statistics (during the period, from September 2006 to November 2006, she studied at further education class for department-level leaders at Central CPC Party School); from January 2011 to April 2011, she worked as deputy secretary, vice mayor and action mayor of Tongchuan City of Shaanxi Province. In January 2013, she was elected Vice-Governor of Shaanxi Province.
