First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

Dimitry Kumsishvili is the First Vice Prime Minister of the Government of Georgia and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. 

From November, 2016 to November 2017, Mr. Kumsishvili was taking a position of the Minister of Finance of Georgia. During the time of his tenure ministry of finance successfully completed negotiations with the International Monetary Fund on launching the 3-year IMF Program. Program is homegrown based on the 4-point plan of the Government.

Dimitry Kumsishvili, being the Minister of Finance and First Vice Prime Minister of the country, initiated very important fiscal reform which envisaged transformation to a more growth friendly fiscal policy together as strong focus on fiscal discipline. 

Dimitry Kumsishvili holds the position of the Vice Prime Minister since December 2015 and is the First Vice Prime Minister since June, 2016. 

Dimitry Kumsishvili was the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development during September, 2015 – November, 2016.

In 2012-2015, he was the First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Chairperson of the LEPL National Agency of State Property of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

While working at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mr. Kumsishvili was involved in the implementation of the important state projects.

During the period from March to August, 2015 he was taking the position of Vice Mayor Of Tbilisi. 

Dimitry Kumsishvili held several high-rank positions in commercial banks and has wide experience in banking and financial sectors.
