We support Georgia's task to develop its transit corridor between Europe and Asia and at the same time, to become a business center, - Vazil Hudák, Vice President of the European Investment Bank, said in his speech at the Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi.

According to him, the European Investment Bank supports renewing and improving infrastructure in the Eurasian region.

"We are convinced that perhaps it is needed to develop more transmarine infrastructure, which will open more benefits for everybody. Our bank is eager to support the creation of synergy and this initiative One Belt - One Road,” - aid the Vice President of the European Investment Bank.

According to him, it is very symbolic that this forum is being held in Georgia, as "Georgia is a link between the East and the West."

"At the same time, this is the country that is growing and being modernized. We are already long-term investors and believe in its stability, future, strategy. The European Investment Bank will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its activity in Georgia this year," – said the Vice President of the European Investment Bank.

According to him, cooperation with the government of Georgia and the private sector is excellent.

"We support Georgia's task to develop its transit corridor between Europe and Asia and at the same time, to become a business center. In this particular case, everything is being done to develop this initiative One Belt - One Road”, - said Vazil Hudák.
