Mr. Ganiev was holding the position of Deputy Prime-Minister during various years; at the same time, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs (2010-2012) and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade (2009-2010), Minister of Foreign Affairs (2005), Chairman of the Agency of Foreign Economic Relations (2002 – 2005).

Before the current assignment, Mr. Ganiev was Deputy Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan for one year and earlier Head of the Department, at Security Council, supervised under the President’s Office. Mr. Ganiev was Minister of Foreign Trade in 2017 and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade (2012-2017). During 2006 – 2009 he was holding the position of Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and earlier he was Minister of Foreign Affairs for one year.

Various successful bilateral and multilateral agreements and negotiations have been achieved during his assignment as a Minister of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan 1997 – 2002 and on his position as a First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations. At the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, he also served as a Chief of the Protocol and Accreditation Department. During 1990 – 1992 Mr. Ganiev was Senior Consultant at the State Committee on Foreign Trade Relations.

Mr. Elyor M. Ganiev is a Graduate of Tashkent Polytechnics Institute.
